I wrote my essays according to Haasā protocol which is very unique & specific since I had to address each of Haasā 4 principles into my PIQs. Maybe thatās what pushed it over the top.
Rejected to business economics. TAG with 3.88 gpa. Whatever super excited for Berkeley but think its wrong of them to reject tag applicants and its honestly a shame for people who committed as TAG applicants and got rejected without explanation by UCI and didnāt get a good backup school like I did.
I think it would help if you mention all this in your appeal, good luck 
Dont even wanna go. Berkeley is better for my major anyway and always wanted Berkeley over UCI. But just wanted to post because I know a lot of other people didnāt have their TAGs honored by UCI and relied on the TAG promise to get in. Which is beyond unethical and just plain messed up. I donāt want to attend a school where this type of behavior exhibited by admissions is deemed okay. So long story short I wonāt be submitting an appeal.
Why you leaving UCSB?
3.76 GPA got accepted by both UCI and UC Berkeley as a DS major. I really donāt know why UCI rejected you?? you got me surprised.

Currently taking Calc 2 and Stats right now so maybe that played a role but overall devastated after I got rejected from Berkeley as well so I am currently 0 for 2. Having a 4.0, I really thought UCI was going to accept me but now Iāve completely lost hope for the rest of the schools (UCLA, UCSD) if I wasnāt accepted here.

This may sound ignorant but why do so many cs majors have like 4.0ās and 3.9+ Iām a Bio major and someone having a 4.0 GPA is super rare
Is it better to be waitlisted or rejected?
I got rejected by UCB and UCI for cs major. I got 4.0GPA with some ecs. At this point, I feel like I cant get into any UC schools. What if it happenedā¦
Damn I didnāt apply to uci or UCB but it sucks. Iām sure youāll get accepted somewhere I feel like this year is extra competitive for some reason a lot of 4.0 students are getting rejected which is sad since usually going to cc was a good way to get admission into ur top schools.
My heart goes out to everyone who was rejected and is freaking out. Trust me I feel you. Itāll all work out hopefully just one more week and all the anxiety from this process will end! (At least for now)
