Finally decided to create an account and post.
I was admitted on April 10th.
Psychology, BA TAG with CHP and Regents.
Does anyone know if UCI read our personal insights or they just solely looking for GPA?
I’ve heard too many W’s are seen as problematic. BUT is matters how they are grouped or not, if you will. So, if someone has W’s most semesters, that’s not good, but if someone has a bunch of W’s one semester it’s obvious that something was going on, versus it being seen as someone who quits a lot or always bites off more than they can chew.
Hello all! i was admitted to UCI a couple days ago into public health policy. GPA: 3.8

Hey guys it’s finally mid April now. Any chance UCI might release reg. Applicant decisions today?
Psychological sciences major
No TAG
Lets hope we hear back soon even for the remaining TAG applicants
This is giving me so much anxiety… I can’t focus on anything … I hope that the wait is over soon
I feel a bit better knowing that they started releasing decisions. But I’m waiting with you all, hopefully this next wave is us all.
Once they start rolling out decisions do they keep rolling them out everyday or on specific days only… any guesses ?
@stranger1984 I’m pretty sure its only specific days.
Does anybody know if my admission will be reconsidered if I withdraw one of my classes after getting admitted?
I was wondering the same. It seems that if it’s not a conditioned course(they’ll let u know if u have any) or a major class, it should be fine. But I messaged them through the portal to ask if it was ok before I did anything. Waiting on a response.
UCI Online Event videos: https://vimeo.com/ucimedia
It seems geared towards incoming freshman. Does anyone know where we can sign up for transfer student events?
If you click the “Events” tab in the portal you can sign up for a virtual transfer information session. You can also sign up for their “Celebrate UCI Online” virtual events here: https://admissions.uci.edu/discover/visit/celebrate.php
@kylie711 , they certainly can and do rescind offers of admissions for dropped classes, however, like admissions in general, they review holistically. It depends on what class it was, if it was required for the major, or just recommended, or for general ed, etc… I imagine it can also depend on your overall record…if you were a strong candidate, or right on the edge (maybe a history of dropping classes). The reason for dropping should factor in. If you dropped below full-time can matter to some colleges. And all of that said, everything is different now. They have to be much more lenient. As with everything, I would write to admissions, and explain the situation and your reason for dropping the class. And if it was an important class, maybe tell them how you intend to “make up for it,” like taking the class this summer, or something.
Good luck.
What’s the name of Facebook group for admitted transfers?
