i am trying to do TAG for psychological science for this upcoming fall, but my school is missing one of the pre-reqs, will that be a problem??
what were your stats in order to get regents?
I was on a chat with someone from admissions and told them I was missing ONE course for my major prereq and they pretty much told me I won’t be receiving admission if that is the case.
I mean…given how popular this school is, they kinda have to set some stricter guidelines. More popularity means more apps, which could mean that there’s more applicants who have everything done. That could also be why it’s taking them so long (so many apps to review), but they should at least give us a date like some UCs (even if it’s late like the 24th). Kudos to UCSB, UCD, and Berkeley for doing that.
@sadgal Oh wow sorry to hear that. When you say “missing one course” do you mean a major prereq that you’re currently still taking and haven’t finished? Or you’re not even scheduled to take the course?
dang what if ur already attending two cc’s and dont have enough time to attend a third cc for that missing class
?
Definitely Monday or Tuesday, Friday is too late.
Do they release all accepts, waitlists, rejects all at once?
I won’t be able to take the course until summer or fall due to the way the curriculum is structured at the CSU I attend
@fulloffaithh my instagram is @brooklynlettuce!
@sadgal was your prerequisite required or recommended ? Wondering if there’s a difference according to admissions . What’s your major ?
@sadgal I’m a biology major and I am also missing one major prereq course (2nd part of organic chemistry) but I still got admitted to UC Davis last week. I believe that they do accept the students who have all of the prereqs done first, but if your gpa is high enough (mine was a 3.7) then you still have a pretty good chance.

My CSU has us take OChem 2 in fall junior year too.
UCI does not care about a year of physics prior to transferring but UCSD does care about physics and they don’t care about Orgo Chem).
So it is completely dependent upon which UC u applied to.
did u get into uci or youre still waiting?
it is required for davis/irvine/san diego/berkeley and recommended for santa cruz/la/santa barbara
@SmartNPretty @sadstemstudent I’m still waiting to hear from UCI. I applied because my counselor told me it wouldn’t hurt to try and I have heard of other students getting accepted previous years with one class missing, but it seems like this year is super competitive so I’m getting rly nervous. Other schools I applied to: UCSB, UCD, UCLA, UW since they don’t require a full year of ochem.
@sadgal it sounds as if you’ve worked very hard to transfer and I hope you get accepted into a few of your top choices!! I’m a parent and an educator so I understand. Best of luck!
@user2020
I thought UCSD doesn’t require full year of OChem though,
do they?
Any Business Administration majors get decisions yet?
Do you guys think we should be hopeful for acceptances being released tomorrow?
Idk tbh it seems 50/50
