It’s not required to transfer, but you will have to take it eventually. If you take it prior to transfer, it won’t count as Upper Div units but it’ll still clear the prereq
Each school is different. If you aren’t sure, google the school and “transfer major prep” and it should give you a link to the school’s page and it will be sorted by major. UCSB does not require Ochem
So, I applied for camino del sol directly on their website about 9 days ago and thought I was good, until I saw this thing called “My Housing Gateway”. Lol. Is it hard to get into camino del sol? I mean it’s been 9 days since I got accepted, it could be too late.
Hi! I had some concerns regarding the minimum 60 transferrable semester units needed to be eligible to transfer to a UC.
I transferred from a quarter system UC to a semester system CC. I also passed AP Eng lit. that apparently might not count for units because I took an english class at CC.
Therefore, I am not completely sure that I have 60 transferable units because of how confusing all of this is.
But I did get into some UCs including Irvine. Would being accepted automatically mean that I do have a minimum of 60 transferrable units if I finish my in planned coursework? Would they have rejected me if I did not have enough units, or do they reject you after you finish all your coursework and see you did not complete all 60 units?
@sadstemstudent Checking the portal is the first thing I do every morning, last thing I do every night, along with the other 1000 times I check, and it gets worse on the days we feel they MIGHT send out decisions, like last Tuesday and Friday, felt like ages to get to 4:30-5
