Hello
My D is going to be a major in school of social sciences. She is hoping to take a minor in either of the following.
management minor (in business school)
Innovation and entrepreneurship (in business school)
Digital information systems (in school of information and cs)
Understand that many courses to do these minors are major restricted. Just wondering what are the chances for a kid who is not part of that school to register for it (is it very hard or it should be doable easily). Jist wanted to make sure she isnβt getting delayed to complete these courses over multiple years. Also looks like most summer courses are offered only in person for these minors. Is that right ?
Thanks for the help
You can look at Schedule of Classes to see if the courses in question tend to be full or not.

thanks. I am trying to undersand this requirement. Can you help check and let me know if you understand this,
on this page - Management, Minor < University of California Irvine
on the Requirements for the Undergraduate Minor in Management (bottom of the page),
Section C - it says Select two of the following:.
a course from the core course list above (does it mean - any 1 course from the list above in section a or B) ?
and one course from this ?
MGMT 113β129, 141β184 (is it anyone course between 113-129, or 141-184) ?
MGMT 189 Operations Management
MGMT 192 Business Law
MGMT 190 Special Topics in Management (provided specific topics have not been covered in other courses)
It looks like Section C requires two courses chosen from any of the following:
- Section B courses not among those used for the required four for Section B.
- MGMT 113-129, 141-184, 189, 190, 192.
It does not appear to require one remaining Section B course and one from the other courses. It looks like the two Section C courses may include zero, one, or two of the remaining Section B courses.
Yes (edited previous post).
