Is UC Irvine a good school to go to If I want to go into Computer Science for my B.S?

Yes. However, Silicon Valley is 1. 5 hours north by plane, from SNA to SJC.
Don’t forget the TSA pat down on the way by. Fortunately, there are loads of technology jobs in SoCal as well.
UCI is a very good school. You haven’t given nearly enough info about your qualifications, options, interests or budget to give you better advice than that.
Just visited UCI with son today. Beautiful campus, Computer Science school is a school in and of itself which has nice advantages. Just miles away, we visited Oculus and Blizzard Entertainment and Facebook and Google buildings were in the distance. Irvine is a new technology center. My opinion? UC Irvine is under-rated and the location is up and comer we’re evaluating as real opportunity for son. Computer Game and Simulation programming looks like an exceptional plus here as well
