Is it easy to change your Major after being accepted into one of the UC’s?

I want to apply to a very unimpacted major, then change it to something like pre-law or political science.

If I apply to UCLA/UCB/UCSB with (3.7UCGPA, 1600 SAT new, average EC’s) in a very unimpacted major, will I be accepted since not so many people are applying? How hard would it be to change it then? Or is it easy?

lol i was led to believe that there was a change… with the ucs… but u’d have to give more info… in all cases, it would be relatively hard to change… just retake the sats… get close to 1900ish and u won’t have a hard time at any of them…

Max, it’s not easy to change to an impacted major. Also, I must say, there is no way you will get into any major at UCB or UCLA with a 3.7 UC GPA and a 1600 new SAT score. Even UCSB would be an EXTREME long shot. Maybe Merced or UCR. Otherwise cc to UC will be your best shot.

U have to get in to the right college. Its ez to change from EE to Chem eng b/c they both r in the the college of eng. But form EE to Bio would be had b/c EE is in engineering and bio is in letters and science
