To whom it may concern, I wanted to ask questions as to the nature of my acceptance to UC Merced as well as the Fiat Lux Scholars Program. I happened to get a D+ in AP Calculus AB last semester due to personal and financial problems at home, and though I tried my best it still wasn’t enough for me to secure a passing grade. I still secured excellent grades though, maintaining A’s and B’s in my other classes with a 4.3 GPA weighted as of that semester. So now I ask you guys, is there anything I can do to secure my financial aid package as well as entry into Merced? I still have a semester left of school and though it’s more difficult with the ongoing COVID-19 situation, I want to still secure my scholarship. I’ve also contacted the admissions office already.
