Tell us about a talent, experience, contribution, or personal quality you will bring to the University of California.

<pre><code>Every morning before I get out of bed, I tell myself that it is going to be a great day. When I first moved to a different neighborhood, I was introduced to an unknown environment, but I did not fret because I told myself that I was going to enjoy living there and I was going to meet new people. After that event, I taught myself that having an optimistic attitude can lead to many positive outcomes. As a result, I am enthusiastic about excelling in my studies and getting to know a variety of diverse people. At times I will reminisce about my failures, not to dwell on them, but to envision what I could have changed, so next time I won’t repeat the same mistake. I gain more confidence every time I correct my past mistakes with that mindset. Optimism boosts my morale and tends to guide me to success, which allows me to expand my perspective on education. So I am constantly eager to grasp new concepts and perform at my fullest potential with consistency. Thinking positive creates the perfect atmosphere for a great learning experience and a bright future.
