UC Personal Statement Tips?

Hi, so I am beginning to write my PS for UC’s. I know exactly what I am going to write about, but am having such a hard time starting it and developing the body and such. I want to major in Chemistry or maybe even Political Science

For prompt #1: (Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.)
I was born in the United States, but spent most of my childhood in Pakistan; so I was going to write about how I witnessed devastation there first hand, and this had ignited my passion to help people through medical innovations and possibly politics
Prompt #2: (Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?)
I identify myself as a feminist, and it is a personal quality that helps me be courageous when I feel insecure.

So, how might you guys suggest I start these essays? I have a lot of great ideas I want to write about, but am extremely flustered when I try organizing them. So, I would like any suggestions at all. THANK YOU!!

we aren’t allowed to link to private blogs, but do a web search for Mssun who used to be a frequent poster her. She talks about how to write your essays

Google Jeannine Robinson. She wrote a book called escape essay hell. She lives in CA and her blog has specific posts for the UC essays. She’s really terrific.
