<p>I’m really struggling with what direction to go in for the first prompt. It asks about the world I come from and how it has shaped my dreams/aspirations. The issue is, I’ve always had a passion for the mind and the way people are in relation to physical aspects of the brain as well as genetics/environmental influence, but I have NO idea what sparked or led to that interest. Of course I didn’t just wake up one day saying “I want to major in cognitive neuroscience,” but I just can’t pinpoint a memory worth writing about that specifically relates to it. Initially I went in a different direction, but my teacher advised that our topic paints a clear picture of why we want to do what we plan to do. Is anyone else having the same issue? If so, how are you working past it?</p>
<p>make up a believable (not exaggerated) incident that led to greater interest in that. tbh, idk. im sure some people will be against my advice and I somewhat will have to agree with them because making up an experience will not usually let the readers know who you genuinely are, and you might come off as superficial…</p>
