I still haven’t heard anything back from UCR. I think I’m going to be a last-round draft pick.
That’s weird. I got my financial aid the day after I was accepted.
I’m in the same boat as futurechick. I received my acceptance a few weeks ago (on the 1st) and still haven’t gotten a word about it.
I heard glen mor is a good apartment to live in, but I am not sure.
If I do end up going to UCR, I think I will just hate the weather there.
@sachill It looks good, yeah but it’s more than $400 a month more than other options even though it has less bathrooms. I don’t value a furnished room at that much more, since I have my own bed and desk tbh.
I went to check my financial aid status and it said that my application is incomplete, but it just doesn’t even give me the option to view the 2016-2017 year. Anyone else having this issue? Have they just not received my application yet?
Man I haven’t heard from UCR still. This happened last year too. >_>
I’m in the same boat @TwistedMetal246
Same, @kamiture. What are your stats?
My application status doesn’t have a 16-17 either but my award has the full detail
I forgot I applied as a EE, I suppose that’s what they are deciding on.
My UC GPA is about 3.80 or 3.81 without the articulated class, might bump to 3.82 but I’m probably going to drop my discrete math, just cause I’d rather work more.
EDIT: My emote erased the rest I had wrote blah. So I’m going to list anything above average:
Dean’s Honors, scholarships, Grace Hopper Scholar, NASA Aerospace Scholar, Math Tutor for 3 programs, Grader, Active in clubs, working part-time or full time, tragedies, completed required for admissions classes, finished about 85% of recommended prior to enrollment, IGETC certified.
@kamiture what is EE. And if you drop a class they could withdrawal your admittance even if you get accepted. You should put school first
Electrical Engineering.
I have reported all changes to my schools so far, that could be the other reason since I had to update my TAU.
Ah I see. Well then probably because the TAU. Did you update it after January 31st
@uchopeful414 what is your major?
Cognitive science
Neuroscience at UCR
I’m on the same boat as everyone else that can’t see their financial aid status info (got accepted on the 1st as well)
I did get my admissions acceptance package in the mail today though :D!
I checked the website here and there - but didn’t realize I was admitted until last week when I received an email from UCR saying “Your Financial Aid Award is ready to be viewed…” - I was like “huh? Does this mean I’m admitted?” Sure enough, went to the MyUCR site and it said “Congratulations…”
Pretty excited, would be even more excited if I could secure housing since I live pretty far away (would be a big deciding factor if I attend UCR or not).
