Still waiting
Got my offer of admission mid March and still haven’t gotten my admission packet. Seriously, get with it UCR!
Also, I’m a bit peeved that they trick you into SIRing early so you can put a housing app in… one month later, still no housing contract.
@“Danny Soprano” Me too, dude.
@041191 what is your major?
Any bioengineering majors?
Have all those who have SIR’d received financial aid already?
@cosgirl - I received a financial aid offer the same time I was offered admission. I don’t know if it’s just a tease or something on their part since I’m going to use GI Bill benefits to cover tuition/housing - so can’t double dip with UCR aid lol.
If you do have questions/concerns, try reaching out to UCR’s financial aid office. =)
ACCEPTED - 2nd bachelor’s chemical engineering
Reposting my stats:
GPA: 3.19 (cum over all college coursework ever done)
Completed all prereqs at a CCC
About me: I work and am an older student
Applied: CSULB, UCR, UCD (the only California public universities I know
of that offer a second bacc in chemical engineering)
Accepted: CSULB, UCR
Pending: UCD
I was accepted today sometime between 2 am and 1 pm.
ok i guess you can’t delete a comment on here. I was REJECTED. The open screen when loggin into MyUCR had changed to saying “Welcome…” then you can change your password. Once you change the pass, the screen changed to the rejection. I just thought since it changed to saying “Welcome” that I was in. Oh well lol
So I was accepted March 1st as a Stats Major. I already submitted my SIR ,applied for housing, got my admission packet, signed up for orientation and recently completed my housing contract. I will be living in The Plaza.
@cosgirl same here, I received my Financial aid award 3 days after I was admitted on march 1st. But recently I changed my request and submitted a revision telling them that I want to live on the campus apartments. I am still waiting for them to update my award and see if I can get something to help me live on campus.
@dledesma46 Congrats! Stats is a great subject, Mine is Psychology but love the research methods and the statistics that’s involved in it, I enjoy it alot!
Just got accepted today! I got supeeeer nervous. I am sure no one cares since basically everyone and their mothers have been accepted but I’m a bio major with a 3.67 gpa. I had some credits from overseas and I had been going back and forth with admission counselors for the past couple of months. I also applied to UCI and UCLA. Haven’t heard from UCLA, but got accepted to UCI as well. Cheers!
Thank you @yoyo1995 I actually was a psychology Major last year and I was accepted to UCR and UCI for the Fall 2015. I planned to attend UCI, but I had problems with financial aid so i wasn’t able to attend. So i went back to CC for a year, changed my major and now I’m going to attend UCR since they already have my financial aid award…
@grinchmeup Probably yeah, But I really loved Glen Mor community when I went on the tour, So I am hoping to get into that, although it is one of the most expensive, but the tour lead told me that if you request Geln mor as your housing choice there is a chance that financial aid looks into increasing your award. Idk if that’s true, but my EFC is 0 and my main award is currently 18k. If Glen mor won’t work, then i am looking into the UV towers, much less.
@dledesma46 Your’e welcome! Thats awesome, I am still waiting on UCI and Davis. I want to compare financial aid before sending an SIR.
@grinchmeup - you could always resort to renting out your couch?
Accepted sometime between yesterday and this morning!
Major: Computer Science

IGETC: no
Applied: UCLA, UCI, UCSB, UCB, UCM, UCSC, UCSD, UCD, UCR

)
Accepted: UCSC, UCM, UCR
Waiting: UCLA, UCI, UCSD, UCB, UCD
@grinchmeup That’s awesome to hear Glen mor attracted you. What I love about it, is the privacy that it gives to students. Like the single occupancy bedrooms. I just have a question, So if they increase lets say my award from 18k to 20k, will that cover my entire housing at Glen Mor? of course after tuition. I always get confused between the total cost of attendance and what I am actually going to end up paying. Also do you have clue if we are on the Gold and Blue program or its just that our aid package is hyped up?
@grinchmeup thanks for the Info! I am still waiting for them to update my award. My award status is still as living with parents, which I changed that to glen mor, But the wait is kinda horrible. Anyways, Do you have any clue on whether UCI sent out decisions to most normal (Non-tag) applicants yet or Majority is still waiting? loll They take foreverrrr
