For UCI they have 2 options, one in Social Psyjology and Behavior and the other in Cognitive Science. The Cog Sci one I think is better , but requires a lot of math and some science classes ,so just be aware of that if you decide to go there. @yoyo1995
Anyone get their housing contract/offer from UCR yet? I SIR’d early because I was under the impression that you’d get priority for housing, but apparently that doesn’t seem to be the case =S.

@dledesma46 Yeah I noticed that, I applied as Social behavior, science classes are my life! lol I am a Pre-Med. Although cognitive science is an interesting field, but for what I have done as pre-reqs, i don’t think I qualify for it as it may require additional pre-reqs to be done. UCR’s medical program just really attracted me, that’s why i am really leaning more towards UCR. Also UCR’s Psychology is more experimental and scientific, they offer the B.S. in Psych which is a big plus if you are a Pre-Med.
@Eterion I thought housing application deadline is May 10th. Which guarantees you housing, whether you applied early or not as long as you meet the deadline. I am not sure though, cuz I heard the first-come first-served thingy, so that may not validate my statement above.
@yoyo1995 Pre-Med that’s awesome! Yeah the Cog Sci had a lot more prereqs compared to the other option. I applied to UCI again this year as a Math Major, but even if I get accepeted I won’t go, their housing is way too expensive for me haha plus I’m much closer to UCR too
@grinchmeup Yes I am. Its less expensive for me ,they have what I want to study there , its close and I already have everything set up there, such as housing and orientation and all that stuff , so I’m already ready to go

@grinchmeup As I said I am waiting for them to update my aid award after deciding to live on campus, And also waiting for UCI & UCD decisions, then compare Fin aids, and check out where I am offered the best package, then I will make a final decision. As of now, UCR is a top choice for me. @dledesma46 I am also close to UCR (35 mins) and lived my entire life around the Inland Empire, so I am pretty used to the so-called “Middle of nowhere” area lolll

Yeah where is the UCR chat? I live in san bernardino, I’m waiting on UCLA but I’m going to be commuting so UCR is probably where I am most likely going to end up going. I know like all the Muslims there lol I’ve been to alot of their MSA events
@serene96 UCR chat is for those who already sure about going to UCR. I am in the same boat as you, waiting for two more UCs. I went to UCR highlander day, and loved the campus. 
I’m really worried because I haven’t been accepted or rejected yet from UCR. I just got rejected from UC Merced, should I assume that means my chances of any UC are slim to none? My GPA is 3.25.

My major is business admin. Only about one week left, definitely stressing out hard. Got rejected from UCSB too. Nothing from Irvine, although I definitely won’t get in.
My only hope is UCR, I’m hoping them not rejecting me yet is a good sign.
I’d be happy to just get a waitlist. At least then my parents could be happy that I didn’t waste all this time in CC for nothing. Not getting any acceptance letters is making them worry.
When I was turning in my course descriptions to approve me she kind of slipped that this is their last week of admission decisions. She was like make sure you do it before Wednesday…because we reaaaaaaaally need it before Wednesday. We can’t look at it past Wednesday. That was yesterday so they should be rejecting people this week I am assuming
@G110G0 just because you were rejected from a lower ranked university doesnt mean you dont have a shot at a higher one. people on here look at GPA’s and assume they are a sure shot but ive seen people with perfect to high GPA’s get denied. who knows what admissions officers based it on. but i just want next week to be here so i can know what to do with my life. You never know though, Irvine may take you. many people have not gotten acceptance letters. its ok. i really hope i get into any university. UCR is ideal because its home.
Really looking forward to the decisions. Applied in a few different places, but nothing from any of them yet!
