@041191 I feel like they will wait until the weekend so they won’t get a high volume of calls. Probably give people some time to cool off, they only have like half the people calling and complaining. Anyway, you can always repeal the decision. Not everyone will accept their package and they will reevaluate those who really want it

@ediikiins if you were honors in your cc then they ask you to apply as honors at the UC. I was in honors but never completed it, not many people do. Did you happen to be in honors?

No I never did honors. I only completed 3 out of 15 units.
@G110G0 it sounded that way from what the counselor told me, I known a couple of people that got some rejection letters already.
no, it is not true. just because you have not received a response, does not mean you are rejected. i’ve hear some say that all rejection letters have already bent sent. we cannot confirm.

Has anyone looked into housing at Bannockburn?
@stephonic I heard that despite Bannockburn being the cheapest on campus housing, it is very rundown and in bad condition. Also, UCR even discloses on their website that those units have asbestos.

I went on a tour yesterday but didn’t get a apartment tour, but from the outside they didn’t look that bad
I got accepted through tag weeks ago, but I got a question. I will end with 59.67 units(and I showed them this on app). WIll I be okay if Im in? Trying to call them for a rpely but no answer today and yesterday they directed me to my counselor and I left a voicemail, still no reply
@stephonic Double check with financial aid that Bannockburn is covered. I think if I recall correctly, Grinch said the financial aid lady mentioned that Aid will be reduced if you’re not staying at a dorm or Glen Mor. His post is gone so going off memory.
@eterion Thanks for the heads up! I called and talked to like 3 different fafsa people and in the end what you said is true. My aid was so high cause apparently by picking live on campus on fafsa application , i was some how living on campus but in a dorm so if I chose one of the apartments my aid would’ve gone down. But since gleamer has a meal plan my aid will cover that.
So I just SIR’d so excited but kind of scared
