@stephonic congrats on your decision! What major are you in?
I got accepted into SoBa and I’m majoring in business!
what about you have you decided? @Eterion
Has anybody not heard back yet? All other UCs have released decisions but I haven’t heard anything from UCR. Aren’t they required to have them out by the April 30th?
I still haven’t heard back from UCR and UCI. It’s possible that they’re waiting until the weekend to dump us.
I’ve been waitlisted at UCSD and UCI and accepted to UCD. I just find it weird that UCR hasn’t really released decisions in a while. I looked at last years thread and saw that some people didn’t get notified until May
@ptlprincess96 That does give me a bit of hope. God, I hope they just haven’t seen my application yet.
They’re a bit unprofessional but I won’t complain if I get in.
Last day and still nothing for me. Anyone got a rejection yet?
@G110G0 I’m still waiting also, my guess is that they are seeing how many freshman submitted their SIR yesterday before they admit more transfers.
@josolo Ah that makes sense. Good luck to you too!!
Here is update about my app since I left the post here. I applied to 6 UC campuses and UCR is the only one that did not get back to me.
I have been accepted to CSU and have been notified promptly exactly how much I would be offered with the financial aid and did the math exactly how much I need to pay out of my pocket. However, because UCR did notify me yet, I was not able to compare the cost as I have heard and seen some cases that UCs may be cheaper depends on the financial aid. I would not mind a denial from UCR at this point though. I wanted to know whether I would get accepted or not so that I could compare the cost asap since money is a big factor to decide for me.
Now SIR is due within 1 month for UCs I would have less than month to decide IF I would get accepted to UCR, which I did not want to happen since I would like to take a plenty time to do math in terms of the cost.
@edjy90 - Call the UCR admissions office tomorrow and ask about your application. While we all empathize with your situation, none of us can really give you any information relevant to your application status. Call UCR and ask where your application is. You have a right to know, it’s already past April 30th. Did they forget to waitlist/reject/offer you admission? I doubt they were as overwhelmed as the other UCs. Call and ask. Posting on this forum won’t get you your answer.
I’m still waiting, too, but I already SIRd to San Jose State and paid for the housing deposit, so it’s not like it’s going to make a difference. It would just be nice to be accepted to a UC after being slammed with rejections from UCLA, UCSD, and UCD.
@Eterion I omitted some info as I thought it would only make my post long but I indeed called the admission office on Fri.
Here is what happened.
I called the admission office on 29th (Fri) and the person who took a phone call said the admission would be posted by 30th (Sat). I said "ok, but are you sure? " and she said yes. Her voice had a such positive tone, I hung up without asking other questions. As of today (May 2nd), nothing has been posted on my UCR account so I called the admission office one more time few hours ago. Appenrently, the voice sounded familiar (guessing it was the same person that I talked to on Fri). She said whatever on the myucr is the “most accurate” so I should “check myucr” website “regularly” and if there is something wrong with UCR, it would show up in myalerts. I also mentioned I think there is something wrong with my account(myucr) but she said same things over. I wanted to call later but the fact that I had to study and they put me on hold deterred me to call one more time.
I should have made sure what I exactly wanted to say on the previous post (my intention) as re-reading my own post I see why.
I did not ask nor expect anyone on this forum to give me “any relevant info about my application status”. Nor I “posted on this forum to get answer”.
I understand that most of (if not all) posts in this forum are created and commented by students, not affiliated nor connected to the admission office.
Now let me make sure this time, while I would appreciate if anyone would “sympatize” with my situation, I wanted to mention how frustrated I was even after contacting the office (which, again I admit it was my own mistake omitting the info). All I wanted to say in the previous post was to share or rather let out my frustration not expecting nor hoping anyone to give me actual info about my app status.
I just got waitlisted, which is better than being rejected. I’m not sure if I’ll go if I do wind up getting in, though. I really like SJSU. Here are my stats:
Status: Waitlisted
UC GPA: 2.5
Major: Japanese Language and Literature
ECs: None
I just got waitlisted as well. Now the wait extends to June! This is torture.
@josolo Did you SIR to another school or are you still waiting for UCR?
well hey, congrats you guys. waitlist is better than a rejection, at least. hope I get an answer soon.
@041191 I’m going to accept the offer from CSU Fullerton for now, and hope that UCR admits me in June! Just sucks that I have to pay $250 that I won’t get back.
@G110G0 Thanks! You’re right, definitely better than a rejection. Waiting longer is killing me! It’s all I’ll be thinking about through finals. Crossing my fingers! I hope you hear good news soon!!
I hope you guys can answer my question i posted my situation here

Hi everyone! There’s a new group on Facebook specifically for UCR transfers if anyone is interested. You need to have a valid UCR e-mail address to join, which you should have gotten soon after you SIR’d.
Make sure you add your UCR e-mail to your Facebook account first under settings.
You have to first join the Groups at UCR Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/groupsatucr/
Then you can add the specific transfer group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UCRtransfers/
Hope to see you guys there
You can message me if there’s a problem
