What time are UCSD decisions predicted to be released this Friday?
Historically, they came out 3:30 PST and UCLA came out 5:00 PST.
Thanks
Are there numbers on the acceptance rates for in state and oos? Wondering if it’s true that uc schools have a higher oos admit rate.
You can calculate those numbers from the UC website
For example, in 2023 UCSD Admitted 7583 out of 23996 domestic OOS first year applicants (31.6%) compared to Admitting 20685 of 84930 in-state (24.4%).
Yield is much different too, about 26% for instate vs 11% for OOS
So OOS has higher admit rate but 79% of those who attend are from in-state
PS - This doesn’t control for any factors like capped majors or other differences between the in-state and OOS applicant pool.
I see, thank you very much. I couldn’t find the numbers and this is what I was looking for.
wrong forum
Will take a look at this too. Thank you
UCSD’s instagram page put out another teaser that admissions are coming soon
Admissions by source school for fall 2023
looks like it was already posted
Here is the UC admit rates by residency. Acceptance rates do not tell the whole story since the OOS/International applicant pools are much smaller than in-state. Also it does not show how competitive each applicant pool can be along with the fact that the OOS/International applicant pools are self selecting mainly due to the costs of attending the UC’s with no financial aid.

Has anyone been notified on receiving the Regents scholarship for UCSD?
It’ll scare me if UCSD and UCLA for some reason release today instead of tomorrow.
I always like to think "UCSD should release decision “JUST ONE DAY” before UCLA.

UC Forum Champion Note
Since this discussion has already been spammed by numerous posts regarding Portal Changes/Portal Astrology, I have started a separate discussion thread where all can continue on the speculation.
Thank you.
About right! I remembered my older one cried and showed me the congrats email around 5pm after being waitlisted at lower-ranked UC. He was not surprised when he got in Cal days later.
So we are all thinking tomorrow? What time do they normally release? How about UC Berkley? That’s Ivy day right?
