@AAMP31B the thing is ucsd does mess up on stuff like this. like i remember reading about a year when a bunch of tag applicants were accidentally rejected and they had to contact ucsd to reverse their decisions. plus a bunch of ulink applicants already posted their acceptance on this thread. i guess the only way to know if the housing trick is real is if you tell us when you get your decision!
Plot twist: the “bad” housing message indicates you’ll be accepted. Whereas the “good” one means you’ll be rejected.

@HweiDtc the exact words that the directors assistant in admission was “we will start sending out acceptances, waitlisters and rejections before the 30th of April”
@friedchips Yep, the admin officers keep saying GPA is the first and most important thing they look at. One told me they would start a holistic approach for next fall’s admission.
@HopeOverFear uhh man. Today was the first day I actually checked this whole housing thing. It was the bad message… I really hope I get in either way. My major is not even impacted (ICAM - Computing in the arts) and my GPA is about a 3.3 or 3.2 I think. Lets hope for the best I guess

Well the good news is everyone is probably wrong.
I applied for Comm. with a 3.5 which is a low gpa for a very impacted major. UCSD only cares about your prereqs and your gpa. I’m almost positive I didn’t get in based on the grade point averages of people that have applied last year for my same major with higher gpas & have been rejected/waitlisted.
Don’t take the housing message too seriously guys.

Guys! From previous year experience, tomorrow 4/17 should be the day where the result will come out. It came out exactly at 5:00pm last year because they did not want people to call them asking about why they were rejected, thus, they release it at 5. I hope you have hear good news!
