Totally convinced myself that I wasn’t going to give a rat’s ass about decisions last night. Woke up at 7AM and started giving a rat’s ass. Good luck today guys! I have a triple threat coming in (hopefully). UCI, UCD, and UCSD. Let’s all link arms and cross our fingers.
So I had the “bad” housing message at first but I haven’t checked for a few days and now that I signed on it says: “The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu.”
I was started to give up on UCSD but is this the good housing message?
@chal23913 Yep. That’s what the alleged “good” message is. Your decision is probably going to be posted today because someone from last year’s transfer class said that a lot of people had their housing message changed the day of decision release. Good luck!

It is so inspiring to see all the support going around! I am so filled with joy and admiration that not everyone in the human race is bad. Keep on being supportive guys!
With this attitude, UCSD (or any school) would be lucky and would benefit from having you.

the “good” message that I really want is “CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED AND HERE IS YOUR SCHOLARSHIP MONEY!”

If there is indeed a correlation between housing messages and admission decisions, then the majority of the people posting on here will be accepted today! Although it would suck for me (I still have the “bad” message), it makes me so happy to see all you lovely hard-working people achieve greatness; I’m so proud of all of you guys. (’:

Does anyone know what time of day they may post decisions?
Was there a noticeable correlation last year?
@MotoGirl General consensus seems to be around 4-5PM (according to last year’s release time).
@cassinthesky If you’re referring to the “housing trick,” seems like most people who were accepted last year received the “good” housing message. So yep, there has been noticeable correlations between the messages and the ultimate decisions. But this is only taken from a small sample of the CC members… there are thousands who didn’t post and there could have been who had the ‘bad’ message and was denied acceptance and didn’t post.

Why is CS impacted this year… It seems hopeless to get in with 3.7X gpa… :((
so what is the general consensus as to when admissions are supposedly being released?
is it true that ucsd doesn’t admit you by your major, and the decision is based on just gpa and IGETC?!
I just logged in to UCSD admissions portal and got an error message…
fingers crossed that this means they are updating.
