Result: Accepted

Still haven’t hear back from: UCI,UCR,UCB but will probably choose between UCSD and UCLA
I had the good housing message from a week ago, and it did not change each day that I checked it… hopefully that will help for next year’s applicants.
Congrats to those who got in, and good luck to everyone else!
I will gladly help anyone to the best of my power so please let me know if you need help with PS, advice etc… I know transferring is a daunting task, and honestly didn’t expect my acceptances.

Hi, first time posting to this but I’ve been reading the thread since I’ve applied. I’m a veteran with a 4.0 GPA and have all pre reqs complete. I applied for electrical engineer as primary major and mathematics-computer science for secondary. I was accepted for my secondary major. I’m a little disappointed I didn’t get into the engineering program but still happy I got in. Does anyone know if I would be able to transfer out of UCSD into an engineering program somewhere else or if the math-computer science major is worth just sticking it out. I’d appreciate any insight and congrats to all the new transfers!
Permanent resident (Took classes as an international student for the first year)

College: Sixth
TAG: No
Applied: UCLA, UCI, UCSD, UCD
Admitted: UCSD, UCD
Denied: UCLA
I’m more than happy now. Honestly, I didn’t think that I would get in due to my GPA while I really wish to. I share my status because I feel like I’m the lowest GPA person who got accept from UCSD within my major. Hope It’s gonna be useful for the future students
Wait listed by ucsd.
gpa: 3.24
Major sociology
everything been done since fall (pre-reqs, IGETC)
Don’t care much I’ve already gained admission to both UCSB and Davis and I really wouldn’t have went to ucsd anyway seeing how it was my last choice out of the schools I applied.
Congrats on those that were admitted and will attend.

some people were asking if they can change the college were admitted to, read this.
Q:Can I change the college I was admitted to?
A:
Generally, no. Each college has a certain number of spaces for transfer students. Unlike most
universities, your college is
not
determined by your major.
Newly admitted transfer students may request a change of college; however, we may not be able to
accommodate college changes due to capacity limitations. Submit your request with an explanation
for the change to: collegechange@ad.ucsd.edu
