I got my email from UCI at exactly 5pm. I was having a nap though and didnt even realize they were being released that day!
Yes I checked the UCI portal around 4:40 and it was out!
Oh I am sorry I think I miss something. why do you suddenly talk about UCI? Wasn’t it already released last week?
@Herbidot was discussing how UC time releases are typically 3, but we were discussing how Irvine released at 4:40 ish about 20 min before the expected release time… frick im nervous ! my friend checked her portal and nothing was updated as of 3pm
UCB and UCD were both 3pm
I just checked my UCSD portal, nothing.
can someone send the link for the portal please I am having trouble finding it lol

Nothing as of 3:05
bummer that they haven’t released yet, maybe UCLA and UCSD both at 5?..hopefully
i think 4 if today
@SmartNPretty is that so it’s staggered or have they done that before
sorry I’m new to this thread
should be at 4 fyi
i swear whoever is in charge of releasing these things prys on our forums and kills our souls by pushing the date further and further…
totally random thought but i’d be interest in “day in the life of an admissions counselor” you know like what’s it like reading and sorting through applications? and do you think they get as excited for release day? do they know about release day or is it random? and like clearly freshman applicants are prioritized, and done by march so wouldnt ours have been done weeks ago? why release now or does it have to do with how many freshman they let in bc who cares about transfers amiright?
I feel like the only UCs I applied to who give half a nickel about transfers are UCD and UCSC. So many emails about transfer specific opportunities and other updates. UCB and UCSD not so much…not at all really. Which is expected since we clearly aren’t prioritized as stated above but doesn’t make it suck any less.
Yup and UCSB as well was released at 3pm, so that why I was asking if they all were. But ya I looked at my UCI email and got it around 5pm.
I wonder this too, and I wonder if they’re running around right now like chickens with their heads cut off, or are they completely ready for it. When they don’t set a date for release I feel like they aren’t fully prepared and want that wiggle room just in case
I reckon it’s been decided for weeks and they just have to click a button to upload them all
I feel like UCB is doing a pretty decent job tbh! It sucked that Cal Week was online, but it was pretty informative, they send a lot of supportive emails regarding Covid/next steps, their transfer IG is pretty active, etc!
