@mskhstudent All hope isn’t lost yet. Its an uncertain year. I think schools are going to pull more heavily from waitlists than before. idk about UCR but UCSC is a very nice acceptance. My aunt keeps reminding me to appreciate the schools that want you. Good luck!

@SatanFlower69 I’ve had the opposite experience. I was accepted into UCI but rejected by UCB and UCD.
Accepted into all other schools across the country I applied to. All with scholarships and most OOS tuition waived!

i feel you. i complained about this on the UCI forum last week or whenever that was. It’s unfair because transfers work twice as hard than high school students to get there! and chances are we were rejected by the very same school two years prior!!!

also UCLA apparently confirmed they’re releasing at 5. Not that i applied there but if the rumors are true that UCSD and UCLA dates are related.

Where did UCLA confirm this?

i have tried literally three different ways to post the picture i have (if anyone knows how to) or give a link to it but basically UCLA admissions replied to someone and shortly deleted the reply afterwards saying 5pm today

@KeepItCool just a theory. I know quite a few people already asking for deferment or considering waiting an extra year if online instruction continues. Merely a personal theory, take it with a boulder of salt.

@“Mrs.WolfBlood” If accepted I would consider UCSD only if the financial aid package was better than UCD. Since the rest of my pending decisions are high reaches I’ll likely be attending UCD but financial aid is a definite factor. Prefer to avoid unsub loans and UCD offered enough grants to make that possible.

my portal works too but the “withdraw my application” option is still there so my hopes of finding out today are a getting crushed.
