The colleges are more important for freshman and sophomores because they can reside in certain areas of the college (closer to the library, farther out, near STEM buildings, etc).

As transfers, you either live off campus or on campus. On-campus the transfers are grouped together. They used to be residing in the Village, as of now, they’re being moved to the Rita Atkinson buildings and Matthew Apartments.

The colleges are important for transfers in that they determine your writing GEs. The ranking from hardest/busy work to easiest/less work:
Roosevelt
Revelle
Warren
Marshal
Muir
Sixth

ACCEPTED INTO MUIR COLLEGE FOR BIOCHEM/CHEM!!! HOLY -

Accepted! I’m so happy! Go Tritons!

Major: Literature/Writing
GPA: 3.38
Total Acceptances: UCSD, UCI, UCSB, UCSC, UCR
Rejected: UCLA and UCB (reject gang let’s go)

I’m really conflicted on whether or not I should go to UCSD or UCSB. I feel like UCSB’s environment is better for me but UCSD has more prestige.

I got rejected but I also put the wrong major for my application so I had barely any of the prereqs for that major done. I put econ for the alternate major, which the prereqs I would have done by this spring, but I’m not sure if I was even considered for that. Has anyone gotten accepted for their alternate major? I hope my really really stupid mistake didn’t cost me admission to SD. If I just wasn’t qualified then that’s fine.

Hey! Also a philosophy major in Warren. Congrats!

ACCEPTED
3.36 Philosophy
Rejected everywhere else so SD here I come, lol.
