i don’t think we have any luck anymore
they have to be closing the waitlist soon since i haven’t seen any acceptances posted from today
It def seems that way since they did have two waves on consecutive fridays…although i did see a few declines from last wave of admits so had hopes that they may have more atleast a few more admits today…
I mean last wave was all in state…hopefully there will also be more international admits
Curious - anyone already committed to another uni, paid fees, secured housing financial aid, attended orientation and still waiting to be admitted off the UCSD waitlist?
If you don’t mind, what college or university?
UC Davis
Any news today? Have they closed the waitlist?
Same here. UC Davis.
UCSB
Those are great schools on par with UCSD. I guess major, location, and personal preferences makes one attractive over the other. Still waiting…
If this drags on to the end how does guaranteed housing work for students that got off late from waiting? Will probably call Monday.
I talked to UCSD Undergrad Admission Officer last week about housing for late admitted waitlisted students. She said that UCSD will guarantee 2years of on-campus housing for all admitted waitlisted students instead of only 1 year from other UC’s except UCLA don’t worry
Thank you!
Has anyone talked to the admissions officers about when they’re going to close the waitlist or if they think they reached their target enrollment?
Yes I did. The lady from UCSD Undergraduate Admission Office told me on last Friday that they will close the waiting list admission in July not August
Let’s hope UCSD will continue pulling more students off their waiting list on Wednesday since the previous admitted students on last Friday have until this Tuesday to accept or reject UCSD offer
I thought they were only given 1 week to respond right? So about yesterday was the supposed deadline i think
cal poly slo🐎
UCSD was one of my D24 top choices including Cornell and BC. Waitlisted at all three. Did get accepted into Cal, UCLA, USC, and UVA. Decided on Cal/Haas. Disappointed in being waitlisted, but things turned out for the better!
Kind of losing hope in the waitlist already - committed to SDSU but hopefully i get off the waitlist before i pay for my orientation.
One IS student got off UCSD waitlist this afternoon, cognitive science, Muir college. She said she would decline as she already committed to UCSB.
