Congrats! Do you mind sharing what the appeal justification was (if not too personal)? Just generally (i.e., a mistake on the app, personal circumstances, etc)? Curious bc my understanding is that it’s universally difficult to appeal, so that’s pretty amazing that she got off appeal! Time to buy a lottery ticket! 
It was a mixture of compelling new information academically + personal circumstance. I also think because of the pulling international students, etc. that this year was particularly difficult for colleges to fill seats. I’ve been reading that everywhere. That’s my 2 cents

Congratulations. Are you willing to post your appeal basis and were you denied as a regular Freshman applicant or did you appeal a waitlist decision?
Thank you! I am not willing to disclose the appeal basis, but like said- there was added info academically and personally. She was a denied as a regular freshman. No waitlist.
