UC Santa Barbara Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

does anyone know of any pre med opportunities in the area ? like UCI and UCSD have a med school that gives undergrads some opportunities… what does SB have?

also, best of luck to everyone today!!!

My friend who graduated from UCSB and is now at UCSF medical school in his 3rd year, says that premed opportunities compared to UCSD, UCD, UCI, etc, are limitied but there are still some just like any city. Volunteer opportunities are everywhere especially non-clinical. If you want clinical experience it is recommended to get experience as a scribe, emt, cna, etc. There is a premed club, a premed fraternity, a bunch of student organizations tailored towards many health advocacies. Just search for for premed opportunities at UCSB and youll get a load of stuff.

lmao, ucsb with the rhymes

Im getting scared it will for whatever reason

My top choice might switch from UCSD to UCSB Solely because of those sick rhymes on the portal lol

Hey everybody!!! Good luck!!! I’m nervous, but I’m also excited for the results!!!

Hey, I noticed that with schools like UC Irvine they had a pattern to how they rolled out decisions acceptances first around 5pm April 20th waitlists around 7pm April 20th and then the majority of the other decisions afterword were rejections does anyone know if UCSB does something similar or if you think they might do something like that?

When admittances come our later today, remember NO insta handles are to be posted. Any messages that do so will be flagged. ?

Good luck to all! ??

Got it!

@PursuitOfKnowledgee all our decisions should be out at the same time!

I’m so anxious waiting for them to come out

@Ohm888
wait is that a thing? sorry this is a first for me haha

@tyler25419 I think it’s to try and prevent the spam. like how with UCI there’s like 100 pages in the forum partly due to the insta handle spam.

did anyone else get an unofficial financial aid and scholarship award letter ?

@hasooona I just received that, too

I received that email too. Maybe they already have our decisions. A soft acceptance via financial aid?

i got it as well. does that mean we’re accepted?
