I have applied for bio major to UCSC and have still not received any email. My application status has not changed. Any idea how long all this takes? I applied for transfer
As a transfer student
Rejected from major, offered spot in nonscreening, waitlisted. This hurt being the first school I heard back from but honestly never saw myself attending. I won’t be opting into the waitlist
Major: Cognitive Science
gpa: 3.98 CCC
Accepted: UC Berkeley, UC Davis(TAG)
Waitlisted: UCSC(didn’t meet major reqs, not opting in)
Rejected: none yet!
Pending: UCLA, UCSD, UCSB(sociology), UCI(criminology)
Hey I also got accepted March 31st thanks but I still haven’t gotten mine even from Riverside and I was accepted on the 26th and they said it takes 3 weeks so idk what’s taking so long ;-;
@hoshizora Awww I’m sorry to hear that. Do you have the incorrect address on file by chance? Besides that, with everything that is going on, postal has been very slow. I do hope you get your UCSC and UCR packages soon though
@fashionista99 I checked it should be the correct address on file I just don’t know why I’m getting nothing and it’s kinda frustrating because I was kinda excited to feel accepted when I see my acceptance package

Is anyone going to make a thread for ppl on the waitlist? The same thing that happened to @letmeinnnn happened to me but I am interested in attending and I have a lot of questions about my chances the process the wait etc ?
Also I barely saw anyone waitlisted so is there even anyone waitlisted opting in?
I opted in on the waitlist. I pushed up an appeal yesterday, looking forward to hearing back from them soon.

Supposedly 9,000+ students were on the waitlist for Fall 2019 at UCSC and they admitted 100 off the list. The waitlist for UCSC is a total joke. Basically, if you are on the waitlist, you are NOT getting in.
All UC schools notified you by March 31, 2020 if you got in as a High School senior.
I heard you should NEVER appeal unless something VERY MAJOR happened - like your teacher put in a wrong grade on your transcript. They don’t care if your parents died in a car accident and you are homeless with no money, etc.
I got accepted and I’m going to withdraw my application after discussing with my parents hoping someone will take my spot if they need it!

@rosecalifornian Was it directly from UCSC or from UC Admissions?
I got a request from UC Admissions to send in the syllabi from my classes too last month. It is not necessarily a good or bad thing. They just want to see if your classes directly line up with theirs and see if it is transferable.
