Yeah! Do you think I should contact UCR about my package? It says on the portal that I should
@hoshizora I think you should. Maybe they know when they sent it out for you?
I will thanks! Phone call didn’t work so I hope they see their email
So I got accepted for my secondary major around the first wave last month. Is it possible for me if I do end up going to UCSC to later change my major? I got in for anthropology but my preferred major is psychology. Also when will financial aid be released? Thx
I’m in the exact same situation and was wondering the same thing. I got my alternate major of Politics but my first choice was Sociology and I was wondering if I could switch after a quarter of being there.
Just got asked to pick a non screening major after being denied for biology. Got accepted to Davis and Santa Barbra for biology no problem. Probably wasn’t meant to be I guess.
Still haven’t received anything yet! I’m a non-TAG applicant. I know they give priority to community college students, but is there anyone who is transferring universities that got in?
major: EE
gpa: 3.7
Like some of you here, I was denied admission to my proposed major and offered admission to a non screening major (because of one missing prereq)… So I sent an email to my admissions rep, asking if I could be reconsidered for admission under the condition i take that missing prereq over the summer. She basically said no, looool. My sorry arse was thrown in the waitlist (a euphemism for rejection). Looks like im going to be chilling at cc for another year. Good luck to the rest of you.
@uctransfer2020 i’m a little late, but you mentioned you received regents. do you mind giving your stats (I’m applying to transfer for fall 2021!)
@uctransfernick Bit late but I would like to be added to the insta group too please!
Has anyone been awarded financial aid yet? I believe I have but for some reason it won’t allow to me accept yet.
This might be a ridiculous question but does anyone know if it takes longer for a transfer student to graduate than the typical 2 years if one is accepted into UCSC but into an alternate major? I am a psychology major but UCSC offered me a spot within the anthro major.
@arshism Well, it doesn’t necessarily matter which major you get into to. What determines how many years you spent at UCSC is how many courses you have done. Do you know if any of the courses you have done for psychology also apply in anthropology? If a good portion of the classes you have done apply to anthropology, then you are good and should complete everything within two years. If not, it will take more than two years.
Is there a thread for transfer waitlist?
