UC TAG and AA degree

<p>Hi. I’m just about done with the apps (finally), but came across this question.</p>

<p>I am from CCC, and will be applying to UCSD/UCI with the TAG program. (structural/civil eng.) In my CC, I just need to take one online health class to complete their AA degree. Will getting the AA degree from CC have any negative on the TAG program? I’m scared that getting the degree in CC might void the TAG…I couldn’t find anything regarding AA degree on the TAG website (if I remember correctly)</p>

<p>why would it void ur TAG? go for it. but an AA is useless anyway since ur transferring. it’s better to put “education: in progress at UCI/UCSD” than “AA from commnuity college” on ur resume</p>

<p>I don’t think getting an AA voids TAG in any way. Does the UC app even ask if you are getting an AA? I think they just ask you how long you are at your community college, not if you intend to graduate.</p>

<p>My cousollor says an AA degree actually looks good on the application, so no need to worry about.</p>
