I have a question as to what it means when the UC names the following as a condition for receiving the TAG:

Maintain an overall minimum 3.2 GPA in all UC-transferable course work by the end of fall
2012 and maintain a minimum overall 3.2 GPA through the end of spring 2013

Perhaps I’m reading too much into it that I’ve completely confused myself, but does it mean that we are expected to maintain a 3.2 every semester or an average GPA of 3.2 over many semesters?

3.2 over many semesters. Hence, “overall” GPA.

Under the coursework tab on TAG site,
there are following three rows for GPA.

ASSIST Certified Courses:
Non-ASSIST Certified Courses:
Overall:

does the overall GPA requirement means the overall indicated here?

I am kind of worried too, because I happened to take Non-ASSIST Certified Courses, which sadly lower my overall GPA significantly.

Only the ASSIST Certified courses matter. That’s your UC-transferable GPA.

Thank you so much for answering! :-)

Sent from my SGH-T999 using CC

I don’t think that’s true… Some NON-Assist certified courses do matter… for example: units at a 4 year university is calculated into the GPA. Other courses at the college will be calculated also unless its a pass/no pass course.

^Yeah, that’s correct. I was assuming all of the units were coming from a CCC.
