UC TAG HIGHSCHOOL

I’m currently enrolled in both high school and a California community college with enough credits for the TAG requirements. Am I eligible to apply for a UC through TAG as a senior?

You can’t apply for TAG while enrolled in high school. If you decide to do TAG afterwards meet with a counselor to make sure you’re for sure on the right path. There’s lots of small details that people miss when following TAG that voids their application.

Are you going to have 60 CC units by Spring 2015?

Or, since your last school of attendance will be your HS and not a CC, I’m not sure you qualify…

@luckie1367 My last school of attendance could be a CC since I could take it in the summer. Would I still qualify?

If you read the TAG matrix you can’t be enrolled in high school to qualify for TAG.

Note that on page three of the TAG matrix, “who qualifies” is indicated as each school states their separate policy:

Davis and Santa Barbara would not be open to you, but it’s worth checking in (via a Transfer Counselor) at the other TAG school to clarify their policies on previous CCC residencies.

Second page, second paragraph under “Who can file for TAG?” it says, “Students concurrently enrolled in high school are not eligible for TAG.”
