I was just wondering if you guys have requested your letters of reciprocity yet? I just went to talk to an adviser today and he was very cool about it. However, when I left there was a student worker who obviously was listening and she looked at me weird…

Have any of you guys been feeling guilty, awkward, sentimental lately when telling people you’re transferring to another UCs? Obviously you guys must be feeling proud and excited but I was just wondering if I was the only one feeling weird.

I tried requesting the reciprocity letter, but since I’m taking my last GE’s this quarter, they said they’ll only do the letter after spring grades come out.

and Hey! me too!
I’m at ucr. and I never told anyone, not even my friends, that I applied for transfer because I felt weird, that they’ll look at me differently if they knew I was trying to transfer out. I started to tell my friends last week that I’ll be at Cal in the fall. Most of them were really happy for me. But there were a few who said congrats, but their faces showed how uneasy they were with the idea, almost like they disapprove or something.

What’s even worst was telling my honors/major advisors (whom I’m kinda close with), they were completely shocked that I’m leaving, and didn’t even have any congratulatory words for me. They just stared at me with blank faces as if disgusted with how un-school-spirited I am.

but answering your Q, no, you aren’t the only one feeling weird, uneasy with telling people, not knowing how they will react. Oh well, one more month and we’re all out of our old UC and onto the new! :)

I want to transfer out from ucr and instead attend uci. Do you have any advice for a freshman student undeclared in cnas? And can you explain what you did to transfer out from ucr? Thanks I’d really appreciate it.

Hi guys, let go of any shame/guilt you have for transferring, if UCR( I attended last year, didn’t continue for various NON-Academic reasons I won’t go into here ) isn’t working for you and you have the chance to transfer out by all means transfer out .

Yeah you’ll miss your friends , but you have to do whats best for you ultimately .
