<p>I want to transfer to UCSD winter qtr, BUT i JUST found out that I might have to take a SEQUENCE not just finish the igetc. Is that true? </p>
<p>AND I’m a bio major, I have around a 3.3 gpa, I finished the igetc. what are my chances of getting into the college?</p>
<p>According to my transfer counselor, if you complete the IGETC and your pre-req’s on assist.org with a 3.0, [with exceptions to some majors] you should be guaranteed with admissions.</p>
<p>The sequence… I’m pretty sure it was for the old TAG contract with UCSD.</p>
<p>Edit: I was accepted to Roosevelt and with that school, there were other requirements I had to finish for undergrad. Each of the colleges have their own requirements.</p>
<p>I do not think you can get into bio with 3.3 gpa. accordong to my counselor, UCs do not accept students for winter anymore</p>
<p>tuanthien1990, </p>
<p>You’re wrong about winter transfers. UCSD does allow that. You are also wrong about the gpa requirement. </p>

<pre><code>* Starting in Fall 2009, TAG will include all California community colleges. The program will be offered for students transferring in Fall or Winter quarters only.

California community college students can participate in this guarantee if they complete the requirements and submit a UC application during the filing period for Fall (Nov. 1-30, 2008) or Winter (July 1-31, 2009).

If you indicate TAG and Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) on your UCSD application, you will be guaranteed admission if you meet the TAG requirements.
-
Full completion of IGETC is required. UCSD must receive your IGETC certification form by July 15, 2009, for Fall Quarter 2009 (IGETC completed by end of Spring 2009), and

<p>Sept. 15, 2009, for Winter Quarter 2010 (IGETC completed by end of Summer 2009).</p>
<p>For Winter 2010 admission, you must earn a cumulative 3.0 minimum UC GPA through the end of Summer 2009.</p>

- An optional TAG form will be available in Fall 2008 and information will be posted on ASSIST, the online student transfer information system, as well as the UCSD Web site.

<p>the sequence is for the old TAG; they don’t need you to take your GE’s in sequences anymore (i talked to a UCSD representative persnally about this)</p>
<p>and winter admits are only students who have TAG, so don’t worry about your GPA</p>
<p>SWEET THANKS. I wonder why they don’t require the sequences anymore. It’s so much easier now</p>
