UC Transfer for English, foreign language requirement

Hello,

I plan on transferring to all UC’s as an English major. I noticed for several UC’s that it’s required for English majors to have four semesters of a foreign language completed at the time of transfer. I’m registered for SPAN 1 this fall semester, and I’m worried that I won’t be accepted into schools because I don’t have the foreign language complete. My main goal is UCI and they recommend four semesters to be done, so it’s not required. But I was wondering about schools like UCB, UCLA, or UCD?

Any info helps!

My GPA will be a 3.91 at the end of summer if that matters.

UCI has TAG for that major - follow the course list and you are in.

I can’t, you have to have the math requirement done by summer 2017 for their TAG… I plan on going for a Davis TAG though because they need it by the end of Fall.

UCB English only requires IGETC or the L&S foreign language requirement:
