<p>I am a student at a community college. I wish to transfer to Berkeley as an Architect major. A requirement to transfer is either math 100a (short calculus I) or math 110a (calculus I). I took both and got Bs in both, the only Bs on my transcript.
My question is that when I apply to transfer to berkeley, will they include both classes in my gpa or just the first one I took since I don’t need both to transfer??</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure that if they are both UC transferable then they will both count. a friend of mine took calc 1, calc 2, and then honors calc 1 and 2. all three classes were UC transferable so they all factored into the GPA</p>
<p>Yes, they will count both courses. Does it by any chance say “Math 100a No credit if taken after Math 110a”? If they are both UC transferable, they both count.</p>
<p>Another thing, just to bear in mind if you have already not, is that UCB does not have an accredited architecture program. You won’t be receiving a BA there, and would probably have to spend another 2 years in another college to get one. But I’m sure you know. Just incase</p>
<p>@whoau: you’re very right, and I appreciate you letting me know either way. But their architecture department is the only one that emphasizes sustainability and “environmentally friendly” architecture, which is a true passion of mine.</p>
