<p>I’m headed off to UCI in the fall. However, I have a pretty severe skin condition (to the point where I take corticosteroids, immunosuppresant injections, and frequent blood tests) my hometown is San Diego. It’s about a 1-3 hour trip depending on traffic, but its also a lot of hassle seeing as I have to have check-ups with my dermatologist every 2 weeks at the Navy Medical Center at Balboa. Can I use medical reasons to transfer to UCSD or do the transfer student rules still apply? The transition is easier because they’re both in the same system. I’m hoping maybe if I am in good standing I can switch during the winter quarter?</p>
