In Spring 2012, I took an online intro to programming class and in the final weeks I was confused about some assignment due dates, so I ended up with a C. I talked to my professor about it and asked him to give me a D so I could retake the class for a better grade the following fall. He kindly complied and I retook the class and received an A. I was wondering if this is something that I should address in my appeal, because I realize it might look suspicious that I a failed class only to do well in it the next semester. On the other hand, I’m not sure if asking teachers to fail you for the sake of retaking a class is looked down upon. Please advise.

Pretty sure the issue with this particular class was not the main reason why you were denied admission. That’s probably not worth mentioning and you may or may not be throwing your professor under the bus.
