UCB Haas: Required Summer Classes

<p>Hello,
I am getting ready to apply for transfer to Berkeley in Fall 2008 as a Business major. I am applying from a CCC and would be considered a junior upon transferring. I recently found that Haas undergraduate students are required to take summer classes in their junior year. </p>

<p>The second six-week summer session goes from July 7 to August 15.</p>

<p>My problem is that I’ve scheduled to go on a trip to Europe during that time (July 1 - July 16). </p>

<p>Do you know of any way around this problem, so that I can continue transfer to Haas while still going on the trip?</p>

<p>I have not yet contacted Berkeley, but I will this upcoming week.</p>

<p>You better cancel your trip. Unless the trip has something to do with an emergency maybe they’ll let you slide. But in either case you better cancel the trip.</p>

<p>Why don’t you move your Europe trip?</p>

<p>I’m going to South America but it won’t interfere with my Haas Acceptance if it happens.</p>
