<p>UCD has reputedly one of the largest internship programs with a reported 70% of students participating in interships with 6000 placements per year. It is the only UC with 5 professional schools ( med, law, business, educ, vet med). (thanks anothercollegemom for this information)</p>

<p>Yes that would be a fantastic experience. Downtown Sacramento is a fun place, and the state capitol is really pretty.</p>

<p>I’m really looking forward to grabbing an internship at Cisco Systems at UCD (if i get in) since my dad works there now. I tag along at work frequently, and I really enjoy watching/helping out. Some research and work experiences should benefit in my goal to get into grad school for electrical engineering. Of course, this is subject to change. Thanks for the links.</p>
