Just submitted my app. Good luck for RD, everyone.

If you get in, how badly would you want to go there? Would you want to get out of Illinois?

Just submitted my Common App and Payment, will probably send the supplement tonight or tomorrow.

Good luck RD-ers - I was admitted EA 2015, but still applying elsewhere
- Don’t worry about anything, scores and grades aren’t everything, trust me. I was expecting a rejection/deferral b/c I was deferred ED from Duke but I was elated at being accepted. Good luck with finishing up (or starting) your essays. :)

Already put this on the decisions’ discussion board, but I thought I’d post here as well. Feel free to shoot me any questions you might have about UChicago; I’m a first-year and I might be able to help you out. Good luck to all! Hope to see you on campus next fall :)

Just submitted my application. ^___________^

So I see the Chicago website says it notifies Rd-ers in late March. Does anyone know about what date that is? What it was last year?

Chicago’s probably the only school in the Midwest that I would attend happily.

Hey all. Thanks for all the useful discussion this forum provides.

First and hopefully final question for the U. The official website says January 3rd is the application deadline. It’s my impression that implies the deadline to submit is 11:59:59 on January 2nd. But the College Board is freaking me out by listing the deadline as January 2nd, which would imply I need to submit by tomorrow.

To be clear, I’m not planning on writing my app tomorrow night. But I’d like more time to edit and revise. UChicago did not impress me at first glace, but going through this process has made me more and more convinced that it’s the only school who see learning like I do and where the students and culture will reflect that. Anyone clarification would be fantastic.

Thanks!

The University of Chicago say it’s the third, so that’s what it is. Get it done today and tomorrow just tobe on the safe side. Best of luck! <3

Last year, the RD notification date was March 19, 2010. I remember the exact date because it was one of the best days of my life, heh.

Best of luck to all, and I hope to see you on campus this September!

RD applicant here (eek, I should have gone EA)! I’d say UChicago is my top pick at the moment .
Anyone else really nervous?

can any RD applicants access their application status now? mine has been closed “for processing early action decisions” for like a month.

^
same here. I guess we have to wait a while longer.

Still processing…bumping this thread to see if anyone else can review their application status yet.

Mine is still processing. i hope they update soon, because all my other schools have received my materials. just waiting on UChicago!

I was deferred early action and was wondering if anyone knew anything about requesting an interview. On Chicago’s website it says that they can be requested on your UChicago account. But, I do not see anywhere like this on my account. Does anyone know where it is?

Also, it says:
“When you sign in to your UChicago Account, you will be able to update your basic information (including address and high school), to update your application with new information (such as awards or changes in your academic program), and to access UChicago’s Financial Aid Application.”

^ I don’t see anything about updating new information on my Chicago account.

Maybe it’s hidden somewhere I’m just not noticing…
Where is that section on your account?

I got green checkmarks on all my documents now! yes!
