I’m so nervous. UChicago is my dream school so it’s gonna suck if I check my applicant portal and see a rejection letter, but at the end of the day We all tried our best. So at this point, whatever happens, happens.
The fact that I am an international student applying for financial aid… I feel i will get rejected so yea nevermind.
Unrelated–can someone please tell me what DS and DD mean? I’ve seen parents refer to their kids simply as S or D, obviously meaning son and daughter. I can’t figure out the extra D in DS and DD. Can someone please enlighten me?
I think it just means “Dear”
When are decisions coming out
@Hit123 I believe around 4:00 to 4:30 central time.
Same situation here…
Same case. Ima console myself saying that I got rejected cause of the aid. Did same with Stanford. So here we go once more.All the best to everyone!
Also I am an Indian so its even worse… the school is full of us.
@curiousboy178 @delocalisedpi
I’m an international student applying for financial aid too.
& the fact that we haven’t applied ED1/2 makes it even worse…
I didn’t submit a video portfolio either and that will also hurt my chances.
Even i didnt submit
How is everyone coping? Even though my chances are slim, the stress is killing me.

My son is expat ( US citizen but living in the EU ), deferred from EA and we are very relaxed, expecting denial since the statistics are like 0.5% of deferred students being admitted in the RD.
My DS was EA deferred. I noticed today’s date and time at the top of his December deferral letter. I guess that isn’t good.
There is a marker on my deferral letter that says “2020-03-13T17:00:00” so not sure if that means anything. Likely coming out at 4 pm Chicago time, 5 pm EST.
The time at the top of the deferral letter says 5 o clock today. . .
So is it 5 of EST or 5 of Chicago?
5 EST
