UChicago 2024 RD/ED II

Friday the 13th. Good Friday. Was the date selection intentional?

Yes, the college kickstart website is accurate! :slight_smile:

Actually, I think it’s saying it came out on the 28th last year, which is correct, I believe. Thus, the website is reliable. :slight_smile:

Well…locked in that decisions are on 13th…released by UChicago admissions twitter

Does anyone know what time the decisions will be posted?

@SomeTeen
EA was released either at 2:30 or 3:00 Chicago time, so around then I think.

It was usually around 4:00 pm CDT. Go search for the RD thread on CC last few years and you would find out the history of the exact time release of admission decision.

Hi guys! Have all RD applicants received the Covid19 email?

@HYPSM2024 I did!

I did too

I didn’t. Does this mean I’m rejected.

I did

Does everyone receive the COVID-19 email or only those who were accepted?

did anyone else not get this email?

I didn’t get the email, but I doubt this means anything.

I wouldn’t speculate…it probably doesn’t mean anything.

The mail did not specify anything about the decisions though.

Can someone tell us what the email said?

It basically said they cancelled all College Admissions information sessions, tours, and programming on and off campus, effective March 16, 2020.

And everything will happen digitally for everyone’s safety.

The email made it seem as if I was a admitted student though.

“We are disappointed that we are unable to host you (and meet you personally) on campus, but we want to make sure that you have the information and support you need to explore and find your future college home. Online, you’ll be welcomed by our students as they share their experiences with the Core curriculum, learn about our commitment to free speech on campus, and explore some Fantastic Feats, the amazing contributions our faculty and alumni have made to the world. You have a future college home to consider, after all, and we can’t wait to provide you with everything you need to know, every step of the way.”
