DS was deferred EA and did not get the email (checked spam as well).

I didn’t get an email. Seems like a rejection from the letter @CarBarlos posted. Can anyone confirm the content of the email?
What @CarBarlos had uploaded was one of the main paragraphs of the letter.
This sounds like a general letter to everyone from those who are considering to apply and visit (juniors) to those who are waiting on admissions. It did not read to me as an acceptance letter.
Here’s my intel:
- I got one - deferred EA from Questbridge
- Admitted Students received the EXACT same email
People who have been rejected either in ED2, EA, ED did NOT get one.
There are QUITE A FEW people who did NOT get the email either.
However, as much as it suggests an admission (or assumes you are one), I would take it with a grain of salt - admissions is tomorrow folks.

I think this was by mistake. They probably won’t be hinting anyone that they were rejected or accepted before the decisions are even announced.

I am talking about what I gathered speaking to accepted, rejected, and currently applying students.
I am the parent of a U of C applicant, and I received this email addressed to me. I believe this is just a mass mailing to everyone who is in their visitor database. We made a visit last spring. I doubt it has any bearing on acceptances. My son was deferred EA.
There is a high chance your son is accepted / wait-listed and that is why you received it.
How can you be so sure ? Iam an international and got one too . It also seems like many report of receiving that email on reddit.
