So I’m thinking of going to UChicago after being rejected from Wharton, and I’m wondering if anyone is currently enrolled in their financial careers in: program or know anything about it. Is it a good alternative to the fact that Chicago does not have a finance major or should I go to another school that has a finance major if that’s what I am actually interested in?

The financial markets program is completely different from what you would see at a place like Wharton. Whereas Penn offers a general business degree with a few different tracks for people intending on careers in things like investment banking, the FM program focuses on helping people in heavily quantitative majors like physics, math, and computer science secure jobs doing things like high frequency trading. They are completely different animals.
