That would really make or break my mood for finals next week… the thought of knowing in a couple of days really got my heart pumping. lol
Wow maybe they are coming out with decisions then on Monday, considering the checklists started to disappear. I feel like they would’ve said something on twitter, but I could be wrong. Best of luck to everyone!
You guys - last year they announced the release date on 12/10, one week prior, and I’m pretty sure it was like that the year before as well. If you are planning to pin hopes and expectations on any particular date (never a good idea but IF . . . ) then expect an announcement to come out on Monday.
Just visited the school on Monday and spoke to my AO 
he said they’ll be sending them out in the next few weeks, I think Monday is a bit soon. I was never emailed a UChicago portal?? Am I missing something?
@hrwalle have you already created a UChicago account? If so then thats your portal and they would’ve not sent anything to you
Same here. My son’s UChicago application checklist is also gone. Financial aid and uploaded materials list is still visible.
I really want to get in. If I got in and received enough aid, I would definitely go. I applied EA. I don’t think I’ll get in. . . Best of luck to everyone!

Nope. What it could mean is that your stuff went to committee. That’s just a guess, btw.
What do you mean by “went to committee?” Does that have a good or bad connotation, or is it just a thing that happens?
^ Well, yes to all. The adcom has to make a decision on every application, so moving it along is a good thing, as well as a “thing that happens.” The decision itself may be a bad thing for many - or a good thing - depending on what the outcome is.

So for this Monday, December 9 “release date,” how true do you all think it is and why would you all think so? I also don’t know where this 9 days claim came from either. At the end of the day, it seems both early and late. But December 17, which is where 9 days would lie at, seems the most likely. If they released them tomorrow, the 9th, wow would that be early. That’s much earlier than a lot of schools I know.

I wouldn’t count on it being tomorrow. I just thought it’d be nice. What might happen tomorrow is that they announce over Twitter that decisions will be released Monday, Dec. 16, a week from tomorrow. This would fit with precedent from years prior. That’s one argument I’ve seen.
I’ve seen an argument in support for tomorrow, which is thus: They took off applicants’ application checklists the Wednesday before admissions notifications were sent out on a Monday last year. When did people’s application checklists start disappearing this time around? This past Wednesday. So tomorrow would also fit with last year’s timeline.
I’d bet my quarter that we’ll get our decisions on Monday, Dec. 16, but who knows? Only time will tell. And it’s not like the wait will change any decisions, only the time in which we must wait to find out.

Nope, no one knows. UChicago admissions made a post on Twitter today but not about the notification date.
