Anyone wants to guess when the RD result will come out? Last year it was March 10, wondering what this year be.

I heard UChicago usually don’t usually admit any applicant in RD round or extremely rare. right?
I believe they accept some in the RD round. ED is definitely a safer route, but there is a chance in the RD round.
Do they usually release decisions the second Friday Of March? Also, does anyone know the RD Acceptance rate/ acceptance rate of getting in if put on the waitlist?
That’s what I was seeing historically- second Friday, but will they really do the 8th? That’s so soon and yet so far away!
Yeah my guess is it’ll be the 15th, and that the unofficial rule is “the second Friday after the first Thursday” of the month, so that it could by from the 9th - 15th, but not the 8th. Just a guess though.

UChicago does admit students in the RD round but it’s a low percent. I believe the last few years about 1% of RD applications were admitted. This year’s overall acceptance rate will probably be lower than last year’s given their substantial increase in Early applications in Fall 2023. The overall acceptance rate for the class of 2022 was 5%, the class of 2023 4.8%. Guessing Class of 2024 will have an acceptance rate below 5%.
