<p>Christmas eve in Santa Fe is AMAZING. The entire downtown gets covered in farolitos, which are like gorgeous little luminaries, and maybe a thousand people all come out and walk through downtown. There are bonfires and people singing Christmas carols and hot apple cider and biscochitos (buttery anise cookies cookies) and wonderfulness. And there are even flying farolitos, which are basically enormous (like walk in closet-sized) paper bags that are lifted 50 feet up by the heat of candles in the bags, kind of like hot air balloons. I looove it :)</p>

<p>I got deferred as well. Iâm not too upset because that was the decision I was anticipating.</p>
<p>Iâve been watching this forum pretty much all day. My daughter was also deferred today. As Iâm sure it was for a lot of you, UChic was/is her dream school. Thanks for the entertainment guys, and best of luck to all of you who were deferred. Congrats to those of you who were accepted.</p>

<p>Reed College, if that UChicago rigor was what drew you in.</p>
<p>Political Science, but mainly because that naturally leads into Law School. </p>
<p>I donât really have anything else, because I just want suggestions at this point, so that I can research them.</p>
<p>Debater1996 Have you considered UNC, UPenn, and Duke? My daughter is applying/has applied to those also. Sheâs also looking at Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg College. She was accepted at Drexelâs Honor college with a scholarship, but itâs definitely not her first choice.</p>
