Also, what would my chances be at McGill?

McGill Match
[Admission standards (US) | Applying to Undergraduate Studies - McGill University](http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/admissionsguide/standards/unitedstates)
You might need a Science SAT II score though

Carleton is a match.

UChicago, Harvard, and Columbia are all reaches, only because it’s impossible to guarantee that someone will get in. Your stats are great and will definitely give you legitimate shots at each one of these schools.

All reaches except for Carleton and McGill. You have all the credentials to get into each of these schools, but, as Chris mentioned, there is no telling who will and who won’t get in. Best of luck though!

Agreed, chances at UChicago and Harvard, Columbia are all reaches. But they’re reaches for everyone. You have solid test scores and good extracurriculars. I would focus on your essays right now because that is the one thing you can control in this process.

“Reaches for everyone.” <- this is bull$***.

Due to nearly perfect stats, but more importantly, an EC that demonstrates both initiative and unusual bravery, enough to get noticed by national media - you have a much better chance at these schools than virtually anyone else applying this year. Especially at Harvard.

As an alum, I really hope you’ll consider Harvard strongly.

I’d say your as close to a lock as possible for Carleton and McGill. Given that you’re an unhooked applicant, you’ve maxed out your chances UChicago, Columbia, and Harvard. I’d say you have a 50% chance at UChicago, 45% chance at Columbia, and 35% chance at Harvard.

Pretty damn good for an unhooked applicant IMO.

Anything I can do to improve my chances at this point?

Just get your essay as tight as possible, choose good recommenders, keep working on your academics and ECs.

Wow you sound a lot like me!
I’m really impressed with the national media attention.

You have a very good shot at UChicago, Harvard and Columbia and you’re definitely in for Carleton and McGill.

Best of Luck!
