Schools:

UChicago (EA)
NYU (RD)
Georgetown (EA)
Boston College (RD)
Rice (RD)
Vanderbilt (RD)
BU (safety)
Northeastern (safety)
American U (safety)
GWU (RD)
Tufts (RD)
Yale (RD)
UPenn (RD)
*The last two are obviously high reaches…

Thanks!

This is assuming you get 2200 on the SAT. You certainly stand a chance at all the schools, so don’t hesitate applying widely.

UChicago (EA) - reach
NYU (RD) - match
Georgetown (EA) - low reach
Boston College (RD) - match
Rice (RD) - match
Vanderbilt (RD) - high match
BU (safety) - safety
Northeastern - safety
American U - safety
GWU - low match
Tufts - high match
Yale (RD) - high reach
UPenn (RD) - reach

Thanks for the feedback!

bump 10char

I think you’ll get into most of the non ivies and a few ivies with the 2200. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1431373-chance-top-schools.html

Good luck! Be realistic with the SAT goal though. Also, you’re really good at AP tests. Why not take ACTs? You might even score higher than SATs.

@Kobe Thanks! I’ll try and chance you back as soon as I can.

@ojsenga Thanks for the tip! I am still not sure whether I will take the ACT yet. Also, the 1980 was my first SAT ever, so I am hoping I can focus on areas of weakness to bring up that score.

bump10char

bump…!

You are most likely in for all the schools that are not in the top 20 of us news. However, that is only if you get a 2200.

And what about the schools that are in the top 20?

bump10char

Anyone have anything to say?

Please take the ACT. It’s school material based, just like APs as opposed to the SATs. You probably will do better on the ACTs than SATs.

^I will certainly look into it in greater detail… Again, thanks for the suggestion.

if you have a 2200+ on the SAT: then
UChicago - high reach
NYU reach
Georgetown reach
Boston College reach
Rice high reach
Vanderbilt reach
BU safety
Northeastern safety
American U safety
GWU safety
Tufts safety
Yale high reach
UPenn high reach

^So you wouldn’t consider any of the schools listed to be matches?

substitute BU, Taft with Match in my list above

I don’t mean to sound rude, but BU for me is most definitely a safety.

you’re in even with the 1980 SAT! You’re doing amazing!!! Test scores probably matter the least to these schools. Once ure in the 1700+ range, all tht matters is who YOU are. Like rec letters, etc. No worries  have fun in hs!!!
