UChicago vs. Princeton

<p>This athlete chose UChicago over Princeton because he felt it was ‘a better fit.’ There have been some discussions of athletics at UChicago and changing student body but I was too lazy to find them so I stuck this here:</p>

<p>“where he will receive a combination athletic and academic scholarship” … I though you couldn’t give athletic scholarships for D3 programs?</p>

<p>You can’t. The University of Chicago doesn’t offer athletic scholarships, so varsity athletes are really in it for a love of the game (or race). This article about the scholar-athlete idea in practice is really good: </p>
